LOS ANGELES (AP) Los Angeles will host the 2016 U.S. Olympic marathon trials for men and women.

The races will be on Feb. 13. They will start separately and be televised on NBC. The annual Los Angeles Marathon will be held a day later.

Los Angeles beat out Cincinnati and Houston, which also were bidding for the event.

In 2012, the men's and women's races were held together for the first time in Houston.
