Mississippi State ends Western Kentucky's home streak

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) -- Winsome Frazier scored a career-high 24 points as Mississippi State defeated Western Kentucky 81-75 on Saturday, ending the Hilltoppers' 39-game home-court winning streak.
Timmy Bowers scored 15 and Marcus Campbell added 14 for the Bulldogs (3-0), who shot 50 percent (10-of-20) from 3-point range. Lawrence Roberts added 13 points and 10 rebounds for Mississippi State.
Anthony Winchester scored 26 and Mike Wells had 20 for Western Kentucky, which is 0-3 for the first time since the 1999-2000 Hilltoppers lost their first five games.
Mississippi State led 77-75 in the final minute, but committed a turnover with 37.8 seconds left. Winchester got the ball down low, but missed a short jumper from the side of the lane.
Shane Power and Roberts each sank two free throws in the final 19.8 seconds to seal the Hilltoppers' first loss at Diddle Arena since St. Joseph's won there on Dec. 21, 2000.
