FRESNO, Calif. (Ticker) -- Fresno State junior forward Jonathan Woods was suspended indefinitely Wednesday for a violation of team rules. Woods is averaging 12.5 points -- second on the team -- and 5.5 rebounds through Fresno State's first two games. He averaged 9.6 points per game last season, his first with the Bulldogs.
"Jon violated a team policy and must face the consequences," coach Ray Lopes said. "We will re-evaluate his situation next week and at that point will determine when he rejoins the team."
