Citizens of Boston and St. Louis, before your ballclubs take the field to decide the World Series champion for 2004, get out your pen and paper (OK, just use your keyboards) and stand up for your city by helping us answer the following question:

What is the best baseball town in America?

Be creative. Why is Big Mac Land better than the Monster Seats, or vice versa? Which stadium has the better hot dogs? The Arch or Bunker Hill? Stan Musial or Ted Williams?

We know both stadiums are nearly always filled to capacity, win or lose, but what are the little things that make watching a ballgame at Busch Stadium or Fenway Park special? What are the local landmarks that remind you it's a baseball-crazed town?

The best responses will be posted next week. Fans of other major league ballclubs are welcome to write in to state their case as well.
