Reliant roof to be closed after pre-game show

HOUSTON (AP) -- The retractable roof at Reliant Stadium will be open for the pre-game show at the Super Bowl and then closed for the game.
Because the forecast called for possible rain, the NFL decided that the game between the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers would be played indoors.
However, with partly cloudy skies in the afternoon, the league said it hoped to keep the roof open for tributes to NASA and the armed forces.
The roof takes about seven minutes to close.
