ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- The United States and Lithuania both arrived wearing white uniforms to the men's bronze-medal basketball game Saturday, delaying the start for 48 minutes.

An official from USA Basketball was sent back to the luxury liner in Piraeus Harbor where the team is staying to get a set of red uniforms.

Most of the American team's gear was packed Saturday and sent to the airport in anticipation of its departure early Sunday morning.

No explanation for the delay was given to the crowd.

After its semifinal loss to Argentina, the U.S. team was told to wear light-colored uniforms in the bronze-medal game, USA Basketball said. The Lithuanian team was also told to wear white.
