After being released by the Bears, fullback Bryan Robinson, who snubbed overtures from Washington, Denver, New England and Detroit, is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Dolphins. Hoping to get him on the practice squad, the Steelers waived quarterback Brian St. Pierre. But he might be claimed by the Bills. The Redskins could sign a player or two by tomorrow and free-agent running back Lamar Smith is among those being considered. If the Bears are still entertaining thoughts of trading running back Anthony Thomas, the A-Train says, "All aboard!" The Dolphins have a strong interest in bringing back former tight end Jed Weaver, cut by the Broncos. Receiver Reggie Swinton could return to the Packers after he was cut by Detroit on Sunday and went unclaimed on waivers. Receiver Kevin Dyson, released by the Chargers, could be headed to the Dolphins. Rams president of football operations Jay Zygmunt said the team still wants to sign Orlando Pace to a long term deal.
