Champions League finalists Porto and Monaco filled the top two places in the new CNN/World Soccer Top 10, in voting for the world's top clubs done May 6 before the UEFA Cup semifinal results.

Porto, holding onto the No. 1 spot for the fifth successive week, advanced to the Champions League final with a 1-0 aggregate win over Spain's Deportivo Coruna.

Brazilian striker Derlei slotted home the vital goal from the penalty spot during the second half of Wednesday's second leg in Spain.

Monaco, climbing one place to second, reached its first Champions League final after holding Chelsea to a 2-2 draw in their second leg in London.

The English side had led 2-0 on the night, but goals from Hugo Ibarra and Fernando Morientes ensured a comfortable 5-3 aggregate win for the French visitors.

Spanish Liga leader Valencia dropped one place to third despite reaching the final of the UEFA Cup on Thursday with a 1-0 win over domestic rival Villarreal.

Mista Ferrer converted an early penalty to edge Valencia to victory in the second leg at the Mestalla.

English champion Arsenal stayed at No. 4, ahead of AC Milan, which collected its 17th Italian title with a 1-0 win over Roma at the weekend.

The weekly CNN/World Soccer Top 10 is compiled by staff from CNN's World Sport show along with the team at World Soccer magazine.

Others receiving votes: Lyon, Cruzeiro, Panathinaikos, Torpedo Moscow.

One to watch: Brazilian side Sao Paulo has started the domestic season in style, winning 3-2 at Guarani to extend its unbeaten run to four games. But the Paulista club suffered a 1-0 defeat in the first leg of their Copa Libertadores second round clash with Rosario Central.
