WRIGLEY FIELD
Chicago
Opened: 1914
Capacity: 39,345
Average Ticket Price: $32
Average Cost of Concessions and Souvenirs: $82.01

Pluses:
Chicago Transit Authority (the El) has a station next to the stadium entrance and efforts are made to cluster trains at the station post-game to expedite fans' exit from the park.

Minuses:
Although a small stadium lot exists, passes are needed for entry; on-street parking is a nightmare of nightlife and resident-only parking stickers.
No matter how heart-breaking the game, Cubs fans rarely leave the famed Wrigley Field with a sour taste in their mouths.

Very limited number of concession stands (20); restroom situation isn't much better; Number of wheelchair-accessible seats (249) is lower than most newer parks, but not bad for a stadium this old; the game and the atmosphere are the things here -- for good and for bad.
From its old brick façade to the ivy covering the outfield walls, Wrigley Field is baseball's crown jewel. On a warm sunny day it doesn't get any better. The crowd is a mixture of yuppies, kids and grandmas. Half the time they're not watching the game, but who cares? When they stand during the Seventh Inning Stretch to sing Take Me Out to the Ballgame, it's a true Chicago baseball experience. -- Marty Burns
Nestled into a bustling North Side neighborhood, Wrigley Field is surrounded by bars and restaurants galore. After games fans spill onto the streets, where they continue the party into the late hours at famous haunts like Murphy's Bleachers, the Cubby Bear and Sluggers. For those who celebrate too hard, the El can be found right behind the right field wall. But be warned: parking is limited, and expensive. --Marty Burns
2005 Record: 62-69 (all statistics through Aug. 29)
Players worth the price of admission: Derrek Lee (.346 average, 39 HRs, 94 RBIs, 15 SBs), Aramis Ramirez (.302, 31 HRs, 92 RBIs), Mark Prior (9-5, 3.68 ERA), Carlos Zambrano (11-5, 3.04 ERA).
In a city full of landmark architecture, Wrigley is an attraction in itself. From the legitimate old-fashioned scoreboard to the party-like atmosphere in the bleachers, this place is a must-see even for non fans. And with enough sun and suds, even the most hardcore Cubs loyalist will forget how disappointing the last century has been on the field.
