LOUIS (AP) -- Forward Dallas Drake, entering his fifth season with the St. Louis Blues, on Thursday was named team captain. Drake replaces defenseman Al MacInnis, who retired last week. Forward Doug Weight and defenseman Barret Jackson were named assistant captains. Drake, 36, signed a free agent deal with the Blues in 2000 and has played in 79 or more games in each season. He scored a career-best 20 goals in 2002-03. Weight, 34, has been an assistant captain since the 2001-02 season. Jackman, 24, won the Calder Trophy as the NHL's rookie of the year in 2002-03.
