3) The KEG House (Beverly Hills, 90210)

The Good: Steve Sanders. His four years at California University were his best of the show's 10-year run. He was always up to some sort of mischief that involved a party, a woman and his sidekick, Muntz. Plus, The KEG House was the dominant fraternity at California University, which meant a bevvy of C.U.'s finest girls were never far away.

The Bad: Just as weird as Brandon Walsh taking over as Student Body President while just a sophomore, it was rather odd that Sanders essentially ran the house by the end of his freshman year. One has to question the stability of a fraternity when someone like Sanders can step right in and take control. Plus, they seemed to wear their green polo KEG shirts a little too often.

Verdict: Three stars. Would've scored higher, but they lack a Bluto-type character to put them over the edge.

2) Alpha Beta (Revenge of the Nerds)

The Good: President Stan Gable is the school's starting quarterback, president of the Greek Counsel and dated Betty Childs, the best looking girl at Adams College. They also had a half-man, half-beast named Ogre to do the group's dirty work. Coach Harris, played by John Goodman, was willing to do whatever it took with the school's brass to make sure his Alphas are hooked up.

The Bad: Their stunning defeat at the hands of Lambda, Lambda, Lambda at the Homecoming Carnival left them without a vote in the next year's Greek Counsel. Plus, nerd persecution finally came to an end at Adams College, so a group of meathead jocks don't seem like the best fit in the current social landscape of the school.

Verdict: Four stars. Though they were portrayed as evil frat boys, one couldn't help but think these guys lived the good life. Since they treated the nerds so badly, however, there's simply too much bad karma to give them top billing.

FYI: According to IMDB.com, there are plans for a remake of this movie. along with Back to School. Hopefully it will be better than the most recent '80s films remakes, Johnson Family Vacation and Love Don't Cost a Thing.

1) Lambda Epsilon Omega (Old School)

The Good: The smooth talking Beanie Campbell, played by Vince Vaughn, is the world's greatest wingman because of his ability to pick up women and his inability to do anything about it (he's married). And don't forget these are modern day college girls we're talking about, not the '80s girls with hiked up jeans and bad perms. It's also warrants mentioning that the house is pimped with top of the line electronics from Speaker City, which is owned by Campbell.

The Bad: In an ironic twist, Droz from PCU plays Dean Pritchard, their President Garcia-Thompson, who has made it his mission to get them kicked off campus. Also, word of the group's existence spread like they were Fight Club, so now they have to guard against overexposure.

The Verdict: Five stars. If it were Friday night and all these fraternities were at your school, which one would you pick? In our minds, it's a no-brainer. Get in the keg stand line behind Frank the Tank.

Lifetime Achievement award: Delta House (Animal House)

Since it spawned all these imitators, Delta House belongs in a separate, higher category and not subject to this  ranking. Please don't email us for excluding it.
