Three weeks into the fall sports season, and it's clear that USC has the best football team, but who is tops in field hockey (Wake Forest), men's and women's soccer (Indiana and North Carolina, respectively) and women's volleyball (Nebraska). More importantly, which school is having the most overall success this fall? In order to figure this out, we took the top 25 polls of all seven fall sports (Water Polo doesn't release any rankings) and compiled our own all-sports rankings (with a little more weight being given to football). This is the top 10 through Sept. 27.

Notre Dame (105.5 points) Charlie Weis and the Irish moved up to No. 13 after a win at Washington. The school also boasts four other sports ranked 11th or higher, including the surging fifth-ranked women's soccer team, which is 9-1. Led by Kerri Hanks, Christie Shaner and Katie Thorlakson, the Irish have outscored opponents 20-1 in their past five games.
Duke (80 points) -- The Blue Devil women continue their run of success as three teams -- field hockey, soccer and cross country -- are all ranked seventh or higher. Despite being without four players who were participating in the 2005 Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile, the field hockey team defeated third-ranked North Carolina and moved up to the No. 4. It is the 22nd consecutive week in which Duke has been ranked in the top five of the national poll.
North Carolina (71 points) -- The Tarheels make the list based on top-five rankings in three sports -- field hockey and men's and women's soccer. The men's soccer team defeated No. 22 Old Dominion and 17th-ranked Clemson to remain undefeated as they prepare for instate rival UNC-Greensboro. The women's soccer squad remains undefeated and ranked No. 1 in the nation after defeating Miami and Florida State last week.
California (70 points) - The Golden Bears continue to impress on the football field, moving up to 12th. But the real surprise has been the women's volleyball team, which completed it's first ever "Southern California sweep" by knocking off No. 13 UCLA and No. 12 USC last weekend. The wins vaulted the Golden Bears from No. 25 to No. 14 in the latest CSTV/AVCA Coaches Poll and sophomore outside hitter earned Angie Pressey Player of the Week Honors.
Ohio State (68 points) - Members of the 14th-ranked Buckeyes field hockey team swept the weekly Big Ten awards as Letecia Fragapane won offensive player of the week and Curlynne Wynn took defensive honors. The duo helped lead the team to three victories last week, including wins against ninth-ranked Michigan and No. 10 Iowa. The Buckeyes (8-2) have won seven straight.
Wake Forest (68 points) -- The nation's top ranked field hockey team continues to roll, and the scary part is that leading scorer Christine Suggs is only a freshman. The women's soccer team faces a brutal ACC schedule over the next couple months, but goalie Kaityln Doe and forward Elizabeth Remy should be able to keep the team going strong. The women's cross-country team is now ranked 12th and slowly crawling into the top 10.
