(2) Texas at Texas A&M
Friday, Noon ET (ABC)
Kyle Field (82,600)
Boy, this would be the upset of the year if A&M could find a way to ruin Texas' season. The Aggies have talent, especially on offense, where QB Reggie McNeal is a mini version of Vince Young -- with a better arm. But the Aggies defense has been atrocious and Young should find it easy to move the Longhorns up and down the field at will. In other words, an upset isn't going to happen.
(6) Notre Dame at Stanford
Saturday, 8 p.m. ET (ABC)
Stanford Stadium (85,500)
Stanford is the only thing standing between Notre Dame and a BCS bowl (likely the Fiesta) that pays roughly $12 million more than a second-tier bowl the Irish would fall to if they lose. The Cardinal have played better lately and need a win to become bowl eligible. They'll give the Irish a run -- for a quarter. After that Brady Quinn & Co. should shred an overmatched Cardinal defense and punch their ticket to Tempe.
Nebraska at Colorado
Friday, 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC)
Folsom Field (53,750)
A terrific post-Thanksgiving matchup in the past, Colorado-Nebraska is far from what it used to be. Still, there is plenty of intrigue. The Buffaloes can clinch the Big 12 North title and earn a date with Texas in the conference championship game with a victory. If Colorado loses, it can still win the title if Iowa State falls to Kansas on Saturday. The visiting team in Colorado-Nebraska has won the past three games, but the Cornhuskers will have an uphill battle to keep that streak alive. Colorado features a dangerous quarterback in Joel Klatt and a lead-footed kicker in Mason Crosby. That should be enough to lift the Buffs in a close game.
