No one's saying how much Matt Leinart's arm is worth.

Southern Cal has the nation's No. 1 team, and probably its most insured -- call them the Aflac All-Americans.
Tailback Reggie Bush has a $3 million policy, which pays off in the event of a career-ending injury, while LenDale White has a $2 million policy and wideout Steve Smith is covered for $1 million.
Heisman winner Matt Leinart is insured for an undisclosed amount, but Keith Lerner, a chartered life underwriter and financial consultant out of Gainesville, Fla, who has secured policies for athletes since 1988 told the Reno Gazette-Journal he's "definitely a candidate that would be eligible for a $10 million-plus policy."
The NCAA pays for insurance for players to cover catastrophic injuries (head trauma, spinal cord damage). The loans aren't due until the athlete signs a pro contract.
Inside the Big Ten
Maybe Dan Connor would be better suited for Crank Yankers than the Nittany Lions.
Penn State's second-leading tackler last year is suspended indefinitely for making prank phone calls to Joe Sarra, a retired assistant coach and longtime friend of Joe Paterno. Jeff Nelson, an athletic department spokesman, told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette the calls, which began in the last spring and lasted through the summer, "escalated to the point of harassment."
Don't think this is just another example of Paterno losing touch. He may not have any idea who The Game is, and may have taken 10 years too long to get hip to a spread offense, but this is an example of down right stupidity on Connor's part and he's being held accountable.
Paterno has already had to deal with enough offseason issues; the near deadly graphite arrow incident, sexual misconduct, drunk driving, underage drinking and an ice-rink fight. He's gone through enough embarrassment with a 26-33 record the last five years. This he won't take. He's making an example out of the outside linebacker -- refusing to answer questions pertaining to his situation and taking him off the depth chart -- be damned if it puts a kink in one of the nation's deepest defenses.
With Connor relegated to the scout team, junior Tim Shaw has been moved from middle to outside linebacker, while redshirt freshman Tyrell Sales takes over Shaw's spot.
Inside the SEC
The big mystery in Gainesville: Who is Florida's starting tailback?
Urban Meyer announced redshirt junior Skyler Thornton was the man earlier this preseason, then said three days later it was junior DeShawn Wynn.
Whether it's Thornton, Wynn, redshirt freshman Markus Manson or freshman Kestahn Moore at the No. 1 spot could have a lot to what Meyer calls "a lack of investment."
"There's going to be some players not playing because they have not done what they have to do," Meyer told The Times-Union of Jacksonville. "The best players and the invested players play, whether it's DeShawn Wynn, whether it's Ray McDonald or Chris Leak. The invested players will play."
It's been rumored that Wynn may be among those to sit out Saturday's opener against Wyoming.
"Is DeShawn one of those? I don't know yet," Meyer said. "I'll make that decision on game day."
