NBA Power Rankings
Rank LW Team
18 This is how it's been going for them lately: T-Mac scores 21 in the first half, then leaves to be with his fiancée as she delivers their first child. The offense goes in the tank, and they go on to lose the game to the Jazz.
24 Grant Hill had 26 points, five rebounds, four assists and five steals in Tuesday's win over the Knicks. He's now averaging 17.3 points (on 51.7 percent) in seven games since his comeback.
23 They lost a heartbreaker at Golden State on Wednesday to fall to 0-2 on their current five-game road trip. Meanwhile they have dipped to 26th in the NBA in rebounding (39.3 per game).
27 Break up the Bobcats! Even without Emeka Okafor (ankle), they beat the Bulls on Wednesday to make it five of seven. They've also defeated the Nets, Kings and Hawks over that span.
19 Five straight losses, including two to the Bobcats, has them at their lowest point since that 0-9 start a season ago. It hasn't helped that Ben Gordon has been unable to shake his sophomore slump.
30 They responded to being stuffed in the Power Rankings basement last week by beating the T'wolves, Kings and Sixers. Who knew Juan Dixon was going to come through like that?
22 Shareef Abdur-Rahim (broken jaw) has joined Bonzi Wells and Peja Stojakovic on their list of injured stars. Still, they won at the Clippers on Tuesday to snap a five-game losing skid.
26 They beat the Hawks on Wednesday (for the second time this season) to make it three victories in their last five games overall and to stay ahead of Atlanta in these Power Rankings. But?
29 Al Harrington & Co. are no doubt looking forward to Tuesday's rematch with the Raps at Philips Arena.
28 Eleven losses in their last 13 games. Meanwhile, the Pistons might not lose that many all season. Happy New Year, Larry Brown!
