1. Just when one thinks that Mike Tyson's career has hit rock bottom, it plunges a little farther toward the earth's molten core. Published reports say Tyson intends to star in a porn film with Jenna Jameson. A British magazine quoted the former champ as saying that he was approached by one of Jameson's representatives to doff his boxing trunks. Tyson is apparently demanding money up front to help with his massive debts. According to the story, that's not the only thing massive about Tyson. We can't say any more in this family Web site, so please check out the story. Still, we hope that Iron Mike will work under the name Buck Naked.

2. Jose Canseco is reportedly working on a sequel to his book Juiced with the working title of Vindication. Canseco's representatives hope that the follow-up will establish Canseco as a serious author with real staying power. Still, some are dismissing as a publicity ploy Canseco's claim that he personally injected steroids into Lord Voldemort.

3. Antoine Walker landed in Miami as the headliner in a five-team, 13-player swap completed on Tuesday night that ranks as the largest trade in NBA history. That surpasses the 12-player, four-team deal in 2000 involving Patrick Ewing, despite Ewing's guarantee that the trade would never be topped.

4. Lions president Matt Millen agreed to a five-year contract extension announced on Wednesday that will run through the 2010 season. Millen was so fired up that he signed another wide receiver.

5. Magic first-round pick Fran Vazquez, who has decided to stay in Spain rather than play for the team this season, is featured on the cover of the current issue of the team's Magic Magazine with a story that vividly details how he is "living his dream" by joining the Magic. It was the first Magic Magazine story written by celebrity journalist Mitch Albom.

6. Capitals owner Ted Leonsis revealed in a recent story that his next goal is to win an Oscar as a screenwriter. Unfortunately his first attempt, a script about the triumphant return of the NHL, was rejected by Hollywood as being too unrealistic.

7. Adidas said on Wednesday that it had agreed to buy Reebok in a deal valued at $3.8 billion. Adidas will pay $59 a share to acquire Reebok's manufacturing and marketing assets, plus several sweatshops to be named later.

8. Big John Daly failed in his attempt on Wednesday to drive a ball over Niagara Falls from the Canadian to the U.S. side. The trip was far from a total loss, though, as Daly was able to stock up on Canadian beer.

9. The Blazers will reportedly waive Derek Anderson and Nick Van Exel on Wednesday, the first players let go under the NBA's new amnesty clause. That may create resentment in the locker room, however, since half the Blazers roster badly needs amnesty.

10. Congress will investigate whether Rafael Palmeiro perjured himself when he told a House committee in March that he had never used steroids. In other political news, President Bush took advantage of the Senate's recess to appoint Palmeiro to the Hall of Fame.
