Paul Pierce is expected to miss at least three weeks with a stress reaction in his left foot, the Celtics announced Thursday.

The five-time All-Star hurt the foot last week against Denver and aggravated the injury Wednesday against Golden State in a game the Celtics lost 96-95 after Pierce was unable to get off a shot on the last possession.

Pierce ranks 10th in the league in scoring at 26.6 points a game. He also is averaging 7.4 rebounds and a team-leading 4.3 assists.

The Celtics play host to Philadelphia on Friday before leaving for a five-game Western trip.
