The 'Cats secured this title with one prospect: the 6-foot-3 Jerryd Bayless, who's rated as the No. 2 shooting guard in the Class of 2007 and will a major contributor as soon as he steps on campus. The rest of Arizona's recruiting strategy is national, grabbing stars from San Diego (such as Chase Budinger and Jamelle Horne) or Houston (Jawann McClellan).

Outside Player: BYU

Northern neighbor BYU has dropped in to snag lesser-hyped recruits such as Lee Cummard and Fernando Malaman, who will be important role players on an NCAA tournament contender this season.

Dragging In-State: Arizona State

Arizona's talent base is limited, so it's understandable that Arizona State does most of its recruiting elsewhere (primarily in California). The lone player the Sun Devils did have on this list, Bryson Krueger, was AUS's second-leading scorer in 2005-06, but was dismissed from the team in August.
