More State Champs
Who were the State Champs elsewhere in the U.S.? Pick another state from the menu:
Duke landed the state's best prospect, Eric Boateng, from the St. Andrews School, but he has since transferred to Arizona State. Georgetown signed a three-star player for two straight years, but one of them, Josh Thornton, left the team in October, and Marc Egerson has seen very few minutes. Which means that St. Joe's -- the winner for the services of four-star point guard Jawan Carter, who also had offers from the Hoyas and Villanova -- is the state champ. Now all Carter has to do is live up to his rating.
Outside Player: Georgetown
The Hoyas inked Thornton and Egerson, and were also in the hunt for Carter. They obviously keep an eye on the Delaware market.
Dragging In-State: ???
No one, really. Delaware has snatched up three lower-tier prospects in the past two classes. And while Delaware State doesn't have a homegrown player on its roster, the Hornets are the preseason pick to win the MEAC.
