More State Champs
Who were the State Champs elsewhere in the U.S.? Pick another state from the menu:
For state-produced high-schoolers, it's Santa Clara, which landed Idaho's lone three-star prospect during this stretch. Scott Thompson, a 6-foot-11 post player, committed to the Broncos after taking unofficial visits to UCLA and Washington (but not receiving scholarship offers).
Juco Champ: College of Southern Idaho
Idaho's prospect list is unique in that one of its jucos -- the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls -- acts as a depot of sorts for wayward Division I players. And USC was the main player there: The Trojans landed Abodoulaye Ndiaye, a serviceable post player, as well as CSI's coach, Gib Arnold (hired as an assistant) in the Class of 2005.
Dragging In-States: Idaho and Idaho State
Idaho finished last in the WAC in 2005-06, and Idaho State finished last in the Big Sky ... making neither school all that enticing for the state's juco prospects.
