Patriots linebacker Junior Seau, who was placed on injured reserve with a right arm injury on Monday, recently had to be separated from linebackers coach Pepper Johnson in an altercation that spilled into the team's parking lot, SI's Michael Silver reports in this week's Sports Illustrated. Silver reports that a few weeks ago Seau and Johnson had a disagreement after the veteran linebacker deviated from a scripted defensive play. A heated argument ensued that was witnessed by several people. Seau, a 12-time Pro Bowler, hurt his arm in the second quarter of New England's 17-13 win over Chicago on Sunday. Seau entered the game with 69 tackles this season, which ranked second on the team behind Tedy Bruschi. Seau played 13 seasons in San Diego and three in Miami before joining the Patriots. He originally announced his retirement in August and ended it four days later to sign with New England. | |||||||||
