All eyes have been on Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.) quarterback Jimmy Clausen ever since he stepped onto a football field. Clausen has been called the LeBron James of high school football and is the most celebrated prep signal caller in California since John Elway. He also held a highly publicized press conference when he committed to Notre Dame in April.

But what earns Clausen top billing in the SchoolSports Top 100 isn't the hype; it's the fact that he's been able to back it up with his tremendous talent. Arguably the best quarterback recruit since Peyton Manning came out of Isidore Newman (New Orleans, La.) in 1994, Clausen has all the intangibles and skills to be a star at the next level and beyond.
