Star small forward Michael Beasley, who told RISE last week that he would be attending Notre Dame Prep (Fitchburg, Mass.), is officially enrolled in the school, according to Notre Dame coach Bill Barton.
The holdup occurred because Barton wanted to familiarize himself with the immensely talented Beasley.
"I just wanted to meet him face to face," Barton said. "If I'm going to work with a kid, I want to know him."
Apparently Barton was impressed enough with Beasley to recommend his acceptance. Beasley, who is rated the nation's No. 3 senior by RISE, attended Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) last year.
