It's possible that Sunday's parade was Jim Edmonds' final public appearance as a Cardinal. There is a $10-million option hanging there for the Cardinals to exercise. Tony La Russa said he and the front office have discussed what to do, but no conclusion has been reached.

The White Sox could take a shot at Rangers shortstop Michael Young as part of a major deal. Young can become a free agent after 2007, and the Sox could elect to take a run at him then.
