Thierry Henry has come out to deny reports that he's back on the FC Barcelona wish-list that came bouncing out of mammary gland-centred British tabloid The Sun yesterday. The Sun claimed that the Catalan club is preparing a new £30 million offensive to sign the number 14 despite previous bids being rebuffed by both Arsenal and the French forward. Real Madrid have made a bid for Standard Liege defender Oguchi Onyewu before the transfer deadline in August. Inter is reportedly willing to offer David Beckham wages of £110,000-a-week to tempt him to the San Siro. The Sun reports that the Nerazzurri are also ready to give the Real Madrid star complete control of his image rights and other off-pitch earnings. Inter Milan is reportedly preparing an audacious bid to try and lure Cristiano Ronaldo away from Old Trafford. According to transfer speculation coming from the Italian media, Inter is ready to offer the defender Walter Samuel in exchange for Juventus winger Mauro Camoranesi. Reports emanating out of the Netherlands have the Red Bulls negotiating with 36-year-old Dutch goalkeeper Ronald Waterreus for next season. Landon Donovan is wedding actress Bianca Kajlich on New Year's Eve. Everton is reportedly ready to offer Preston North End £5million for striker David Nugent. Bolton Wanderers midfielder Ivan Campo is keen to quit the club in order to return to Spain with Athletic Bilbao. Sierra Leone striker Mohamed Kallon could leave Monaco in the January transfer window. Valencia is set to offload out-of-favor striker Francesco Tavano, with "five Spanish clubs" interested in taking the former Empoli player. As was widely expected, Brazilian League Champions São Paulo dominated the awards ceremony that took place in Rio de Janeiro Morumbi. Five of the prizes on offer went to the victorious Tricolor Paulista, including Coach Muricy Ramalho. The star of the night, however, was goalkeeping Captain Rogério Ceni who took center stage as the winner of two awards. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
