Welcome to this week's edition of the Monday Awards, where we're pretty sure that Michigan is still a better team than Florida, Greg Oden is Danny Glover's older brother, and an option is just a choice between sleeping and playing beer pong.

Team of the Week

Florida. UCLA may have had a hell of a week, but the Gators had more to lose than the Bruins did. UCLA had already accepted a trip to the Emerald Bowl prior to playing USC, whereas Florida had a shot at the national title. Percy Harvin rushed six times for 105 yards (including a 67-yard TD run) and caught five receptions for 62 yards (including a 37-yard TD reception), helping the Gators return to the BCS for the first time since the Steve Spurrier era in 2002.

The Bitter Facebook Group of the Week Award

Congratulations to the USC fans in the "We let UCLA win so we can win a bowl game and party harder!" group who don't appear to be taking the loss all that well. The message board for the group somehow turned into a fight about who has the better engineering school -- USC or UCLA -- but it's a pointless fight because neither of them has Jenn Sterger.

Harris Poll Voter of the Week Award

Jim Walden, the former coach of Washington State and Iowa State. Walden was one of the week's 113 voters, and the lone individual to vote a team other than Ohio State at No. 1. Walden put Florida at the top of the list, and while it didn't have an effect on the points tally, it was enough to make Michigan fans want to trash the guy's Wikipedia page.

Can't Win Coach of the Week Award

Georgia Tech's Chan Gailey had to make tough decisions on three big drives, and his Yellow Jackets ended up scoring on only one of them. Up 3-0 late in the first quarter, Gailey called for a reverse that resulted in a nine-yard loss and forced his team to punt. Tied at 3-3 in the third quarter, Gailey opted to go for it on 4th-and-1 on Wake Forest's 14-yard line, and his team failed again. With the same score in the fourth quarter, Gailey finally decided to kick a chip shot, but it wouldn't be enough. Wake went on to score the final six points, grabbing a 9-6 win and the ACC Title. Tech's three big drives produced only three points, which isn't exactly good. Maybe Gailey should switch to hockey, if that's his conversion rate.

The "We Refuse to Let WVU Win" Award

After Rutgers was unable to score on a two-point conversion that would have sent the game into quadruple overtime, ESPN gave the Scarlet Knights two points anyway. The score graphic showed 41-41, despite the fact that Rutgers had just lost to West Virginia 41-39.

SIOC's Power Rankings

Each week, we'll rank the top 25. We'll share our thoughts on each of the top ten teams, and then we'll give some of the brightest minds out on the internet a chance to write about their favorite teams.

1) UCLA (6-0)

Arron Afflalo will have to average 100 points per game in order to get any attention from NBA scouts. Luckily for the Bruins, they'll keep winning even if he maintains his 16.6 scoring average.

Jeremy from Bruin Hoop Scoop: This weekend, the Bruins emerged victorious in a hard-fought game against a local team that it hasn't beaten in years, creating euphoria in Westwood, sending shockwaves throughout the country, and seriously impacting the national title picture. Of course, I'm referring to UCLA's 61-38 win on the hardwood over UC Riverside on Sunday.

2) Pittsburgh (8-0)

Sure they've won all eight games against below-average opponents, but six of their next 12 games are against ranked teams. If Aaron Gray actually helps this team come out in the top 10, just maybe we'll ignore the fact he's a big stiff -- up until the pre-draft camps.

Chaz of Pitt Blather: Not the most impressive week, but unlike many in the top 10, Pitt came away with wins that put their record at 8-0 along with a road win over an SEC team (yes, it's Auburn, but it counts). Pitt's depth wears down opponents who end up staggering to the end of games on fumes and not much else.

3) UNC (6-1)

After a tough loss to Gonzaga, UNC bounced back to beat Tennessee, Ohio State, and Kentucky, all in a row. However, coach Roy Williams is unhappy with the play of his young freshmen. After beating Tennessee, he said his team needed "to go home and for Christmas ask for some brains." Against Kentucky, Williams benched all of his starters because they weren't showing enough hustle. A 6-1 record (three wins have come against very good teams) has never sounded so bad.

Brian of TarHeelFan: "If we learned anything from the second half of the Ohio State game, it is that UNC might be starting to put the pieces together, at least offensively, anyway. We also learned that Carolina blue has the same effect on three-point shooters that a red cape has on a bull."

4) Ohio State (7-1)

OSU capped a tough stretch for Valparaiso, who had lost to Marquette by three, and Butler by 13. Just before their game against OSU, the news dropped that all of the Thad Five were healthy and ready to go for the first time this season. Naturally, Ohio State creamed the Crusaders by 20.

5) Alabama (7-0)

They don't play a ranked opponent until January, but Notre Dame will be a decent test. Still, we want to see 'Bama beat a top-15 team before we get too excited.

Nico of RollBamaRoll: This is perhaps one of the most talented Tide basketball teams ever assembled and there is talk of a conference championship and going deep in the NCAA Tournament, but can this young team live up to expectations?
