Brazil to meet Argentina in friendlyPosted: Wednesday August 2, 2006 10:19AM; Updated: Wednesday August 2, 2006 10:19AM RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (Reuters) -- Brazil will take on old rival Argentina in a friendly international in London, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said on its Web site. The match will be played at Arsenal's new Emirates Stadium on September 2, the CBF said. The South American neighbors last met at the Confederations Cup final in Germany last year, when Brazil ran out 4-1 winners. Next month's match will be Argentina's first since the World Cup, when it lost to host Germany on penalties in the quarterfinals. Brazil, which lost to France at the same stage, plays Norway in Oslo on Aug. 16. Copyright 2006 Reuters Limited. All rights reserved. | |||
