St. Joseph's (South Bend, Ind.) (12-0)
The Indians went 2-0 last week to run their winning streak to 25 games. A 69-58 victory over East Chicago Central was especially sweet because Central had dealt the Indians their only loss a year ago. Senior point guard Melissa Lechlitner led the charge with 26 points, including four 3-pointers. Junior guard Sydney Smallbone also hit four 3s to finish with 16 points. In a rout of Clay, Lechlitner had 24 points, Smallbone added 16 and 6-5 junior Kristen Dockery grabbed 14 rebounds. The Indians face, perhaps, their toughest week of the year. On Tuesday they will tangle with once-beaten South Bend Washington and its sensational 5-8 freshman guard, Skylar Diggins. Then on Friday they take on unbeaten Chicago Whitney Young in the Chicagoland Prep Classic at Villa Park, Ill.
