Mount Notre Dame (Cincinnati) (25-3)
The Cougars claimed their second Division I state title as 5-foot-8 senior Lee Stephens (Furman) averaged 14.9 points and 3.4 steals. St. Louis recruit Katie Paganelli averaged 13.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 steals. Promising freshman Kendall Hackney averaged 6.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks.

Castle (Newburgh, Ind.) (25-3)
The Knights won their final 15 games and first Class 4A state title. Indiana State recruit Maria Olsthoorn averaged 13.4 points and 6.8 rebounds. Jasmine Ussery, an athletic 5-foot-11 junior, averaged 12.4 points and 8.7 rebounds. The Knights suffered all three losses when Olsthoorn was injured. Five-foot-11 senior Katelyn Smith, who will play soccer at Evansville, averaged 11.3 points, and senior point guard Stephanie Gehlhausen averaged 9.8 points and 2.7 steals.

Barron Collier (Naples, Fla.) (31-2)
The Cougars won their last 18 games and first Class 5A state title. They outscored opponents by an average of 36 points and made 15 steals per game. Courtney Jacob, a 5-foot-11 senior guard, averaged 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.1 steals and 3.6 assists while shooting .630 from the field. Jacob completed her four-year career with a school-record 1,513 points. Promising 6-1 sophomore Kelsey Assarian averaged 14.1 points and 7.1 rebounds while shooting .590 from the field.

Parkland (Allentown, Pa.) (31-3)
The Trojans won their first Class AAAA state championship by defeating Council Rock North 54-40. Junior Ashley Yencho scored 16 points, including four three-pointers. Coach Patti Heffner now has won two state titles as a coach (the first at another school) and two as a player. In the semifinals, the Trojans nipped then-No. 10 Oakland Catholic 49-47 in overtime. Amy Heffner, a 5-foot-11 junior and the coach's daughter, scored the winning basket with 28 seconds left. Senior forward Laura Baranek led the way with 15 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and 5-3 point guard Ashley Zuber grabbed a career-high eight rebounds.

Southfield-Lathrup (Lathrup Village, Mich.) (27-1)
The Chargers won their last 22 games following a 58-56 loss to Auburn Hills Avondale and their first Class A state title. Brittane Russell and Jareica Hughes, a pair of 5-foot-3 senior guards, were dominant for the Chargers. Hughes averaged 16.3 points, 7.2 assists and 6.0 steals. Russell, a Canisius recruit, averaged 15.5 points, 5.3 steals and 4.4 assists.

Whitney Young (Chicago) (30-3)
The Dolphins lost to No. 5 Bolingbrook in overtime and finished third in the Class AA state tournament. Six-foot senior Amanda Thompson, an Oklahoma recruit, averaged 19 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks and shot .520 from the field. Kristen Harper, a 5-8 junior, averaged 13 points, and 5-3 sophomore D'Frantz Smart averaged 10 points, five assists and four steals.

Incarnate Word (St. Louis) (31-1)
The Red Knights won their final 29 games following a 48-44 loss to Chicago Hope to win their second Class 5 state title. DePaul recruit Felicia Chester averaged 16.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.9 blocks and shot .585 from the field. Chester finished No. 1 in school history with 308 blocks, No. 2 in rebounds (943) and No. 3 in scoring (1,401 points).

Hopkins (Minnetonka, Minn.) (30-2)
The Royals won their last 18 games and second Class 4A state title in the last three years. Six-foot senior Jillian Schurle, a Princeton recruit, averaged 22.2 points. Caitlin Rowland, a 5-10 sophomore, averaged 11.9 points, while 6-foot junior Jackie Hiebert averaged 10.3 points and 6.4 rebounds. Maine recruit Abby Greene averaged 6.7 assists.

Ursuline Academy (Wilmington, Del.) (21-5)
The Raiders captured their third consecutive state championship and a state-record 12th overall. Elena DelleDonne, the nation's premier sophomore, averaged 28.5 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.5 blocks and shot .500 from the field. DelleDonne also made 94 of 102 free throws (.950), including a national-record 80 in a row. Senior point guard Deana DiAmico averaged 8.7 points and 6.3 assists.

Plano West (Plano, Texas) (35-6)
The Wolves claimed their first Class 5A state title, winning their last 14 games and a school-record total of 35. Texas recruit Kristen Nash averaged 17.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists and shot .570 from the field. Senior guard Rachel Hester (Elon) averaged 12.5 points. Junior Kathleen Nash averaged 11 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

Dropped out: No. 10 Oakland Catholic (Pittsburgh) (30-2), lost to Parkland 49-47 in overtime in the Class AAAA state semifinals.
