22	25	Florida Marlins The fightingest team in the bigs, the Marlins continue to impress. Since an 11-31 start, they're 34-21. That's a team going in the right direction. Trade tease: Vet reliever Joe Borowski could fetch a prospect.
23	22	Baltimore Orioles The O's have a real ace in Erik Bedard. In his last seven starts he's 7-0 with a 1.29 ERA. Unfortunately, that's all the O's have, other than bait. Trade tease: Jeff Conine, Kevin Millar, Lopez (Javy and Rodrigo)?
24	23	Philadelphia Phillies Depressing is midsummer in Philly with the Phils floundering again. The manager is under fire, the team is uninspired ... somewhere, Larry Bowa is smiling. Trade tease: Abreu ... somewhere.
25	24	Cleveland Indians "We either play nearly perfect baseball and win by big scores," Travis Hafner told the Plain Dealer, "or we don't win." Mostly, it's been No. 2. Trade tease: Aaron Boone, Jake Westbrook?
26	27	Washington Nationals Alfonso Soriano wants to stay. Boss Stan Kasten says he'd love to have him. So is the team playing this right or what? Trade tease: With lots of suitors driving the price up, Sori's as good as gone.
27	26	Tampa Bay Devil Rays For a team with supposedly loads of promise, the Rays show little. When they play better in the awful Trop than on the road (17-37), something's up. Trade tease: Julio Lugo to the Jays?
28	28	Chicago Cubs Mark Prior returned and was shelled -- shocker, eh? -- and the Cubs continued to plummet. Manager Dusty Baker says Greg Maddux can bail if he wants. Trade tease: Pull the cord, Greg. Get to L.A.
29	30	Pittsburgh Pirates At this point, it's Pirates/Royals or Royals/Pirates. Does it matter? Are there bragging rights down here? Trade tease: Randa, Jeromy Burnitz and a new hot commodity in the mill, starter Kip Wells.
30	29	Kansas City Royals It's fitting, in a Royals kind of way, that their No. 1 trading chip, Reggie Sanders, is hurt right now and in all likelihood can't be dealt. Trade tease: Maybe All-Star Mark Redman could be, though.
