Lawrence, who must pass a physical to finalize the deal, gets a $500,000 salary this year. The Rockies hold a 2008 option with a $250,000 buyout. A native of Fort Collins, Lawrence was traded from San Diego to Washington after the 2005 season. He tore the labrum in his right shoulder during a spring training workout with the Nationals on Feb. 19 and had surgery a week later. Lawrence is 49-61 with a 4.10 ERA in 162 major league games, all with San Diego. Copyright 2007 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
