The Owls keep teasing us that they'll advance from the ranks of the winless. For two straight weeks, they've gone into the locker room at halftime tied 21-21 ... and for two straight weeks they've essentially flopped in the second half. On Sept. 22, the final 30 minutes devolved into a 48-35 loss to Bowling Green; on Saturday, it devolved into a 37-21 surrender to Army. Here's how Temple coach Al Golden summed up his team's plight (to the Philadelphia Inquirer): "When you turn the ball over, have penalties that take points off the board, and you play like crap on special teams, you're going to lose. That is compounded when you're on the road."
