Trey Thompkins, who played this past year at Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), is coming back to Georgia for the present and future.

The 6-foot-8 power forward committed to the Bulldogs this week and will be back in the Peach State to play his final high school season. The Georgia native will return to Wesleyan (Norcross, Ga.) for his senior year, the same place he played before transferring to Oak Hill as a junior.

Thompkins is rated the No. 14 recruit in the Class of 2008 by RISE. He averaged 15 points and seven rebounds per game while shooting 67 percent from the floor at Oak Hill. He helped lead the Warriors to a 40-1 record and the No. 2 spot in the RISE National Basketball Top 25.

Thompkins chose the Bulldogs over the likes of Florida, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech and Kentucky.
