Jeff Withey, a 7-foot, 220-pound center at Horizon (San Diego, Calif.), has reopened his recruitment after originally committing to Louisville.
Withey is an extremely skilled player for his size who has quick feet and soft hands in the post. He's gotten stronger and more aggressive over the past year and has turned himself into a prime prospect.
Schools that were recruiting Withey before he committed to Louisville include Arizona and Kansas.
The Horizon big man, who is rated the No. 42 recruit in the Class of 2008 by RISE, has a lot of ties to Arizona. He comes from the same area and works with the same trainer as current Arizona freshman star Chase Budinger.
