No. 17 Norwell (Ossian, Ind.) is the only team in the rankings that hasn't finished its season.

Seton Hall Prep (West Orange, N.J.) (32-1) The Pirates captured their third consecutive NJSIAA Non-Public A group championship by defeating St. Joseph (Metuchen), 10-1. As a result, Seton Hall Prep finishes the season as the nation's No. 1 team. Senior right-hander Rick Porcello tossed a five-hitter and struck out nine in his final high school game to lead the Pirates. Porcello was named Gatorade National Baseball Player of the Year this season and was selected No. 27 overall by the Detroit Tigers in the MLB Draft. |

Horizon (Scottsdale, Ariz.) (31-3) The Huskies capped a terrific season by defeating archrival and then-No. 4 Brophy Prep, 9-6, in the Class 5A Division I state final. The victory served as sweet revenge for Horizon, which was routed by Brophy, 11-1, in last year's final. |

Sarasota (Fla.) (29-3) The Sailors won their eighth state title overall with a 1-0 victory over DeLand in the Class 6A state final. |

West Lauderdale (Collinsville, Miss.) (38-2) The Knights defeated Terry, 7-3, to sweep the Class 4A state championship series. It was West Lauderdale's first state title since 2001 and first in Class 4A, but it was the program's 11th overall. |

Cy-Fair (Cypress, Texas) (32-7) Cy-Fair finishes in such a high spot in the Top 25 thanks to its remarkable playoff run en route to its first state baseball title. In the finals, senior right-hander Brandon Finken was named game MVP after throwing a four-hitter and fanning nine as the Bobcats defeated Harlingen South, 6-1. Senior outfielder Caleb Ramsey went 3-for-8 with three runs scored, five RBIs and a stolen base in the two games. |

East Rutherford (Bostic, N.C.) (31-2) After storming through the first five rounds of the playoffs, the Cavs found themselves in an unfamiliar position after losing the first game of the Class 2A state championship series to North Lenoir. But a crucial win in the second game set up junior Cullen Park, who pitched 6.1 innings in the deciding third game, allowing just two hits, to help the Cavs to an 8-1 win for the school's fourth state championship in the past six years. |
