Maya Moore is a college girl now, and that means she can no longer compete for any more high school accolades. Here is a list of 10 girls who may be even better than Moore:
Erin Brennan -- Lacrosse
A rising senior midfielder from Garden City (Garden City, N.Y.), Brennan is an alternate on the 2007 U.S. Women's Under-19 National Team. As a junior, she tallied 54 goals and 36 assists during the regular season to lead Garden City to the county title.
Jacquelyn Coward -- Track & Field
The winner of seven state titles during the last two seasons, Coward set a national indoor prep record in the 60-meter hurdles (8.17 seconds) in February. The Knoxville West (Knoxville, Tenn.) rising senior hurdler/sprinter also had the nation's top time in the 300 hurdles this spring.
Mina Harigae -- Golf
Rated the No. 2 junior girls' golfer in the nation by Golfweek, Harigae is easily the favorite to win the California state championship this fall. The Stevenson (Pebble Beach, Calif.) rising senior is also a four-time California Women's Amateur champion, winning her first at age 12.
Kathy Kroeger -- Cross Country
Kroeger is the reigning champ of the Foot Locker Cross Country National Championships. The rising junior at Independence (Franklin, Tenn.) finished with a time of 17:29 to win the 2006 national title by seven seconds and avenge a second-place finish in the South Regional.
Kelly Murphy -- Volleyball
A PrepVolleyball.com All-American, Murphy notched 496 assists and 353 kills as a setter and opposite hitter for Joliet Catholic (Joliet, Ill.) last year. Murphy, the consensus No. 1 recruit in the rising senior class, made the 12-person U.S. Women's Junior National Team this summer.
Christine Nairn -- Soccer
An NSCAA/adidas All-American and two-time Parade All-American, Nairn led Archbishop Spalding (Severn, Md.) to the conference championship last fall and already holds the school's career scoring record (43 goals). The rising senior midfielder also plays for the U.S. Under-17 National Team.
Teresa Noyola -- Soccer
Not only did the rising senior midfielder tally 13 goals for Palo Alto (Palo Alto, Calif.) last year, but she also captained the U.S. Under-17 National Team. Noyola, the 2006 NSCAA/adidas Youth National Player of the Year and a two-time All-American, now trains with the U-20 team.
Nneka Ogwumike -- Basketball
The Cy-Fair (Cypress, Texas) rising senior averaged 21.9 points and 10.3 rebounds per game last winter to earn Gatorade State Player of the Year honors. A 6-foot-2 center, Ogwumike has led her team to a combined record of 75-2 the last two seasons.
Brooklyn Pope -- Basketball
Pope is without a doubt one of the most talented ballers in the nation. The rising senior forward guided Dunbar (Fort Worth, Texas) to the Class 4A state title last year while averaging 20 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks per game.
Shade Weygandt -- Track & Field
Weygandt, a rising junior out of Mansfield (Mansfield, Texas), set national sophomore records in the indoor (13 feet, 6 inches) and outdoor (13-7) pole vault this past year. Her vault of 13-7 to win the state meet also set a Texas prep record.
