Coach Mike Holmgren said he hates those Spiderman-like receivers gloves in Seahawks green. That hasn't stopped Deion Branch from wearing them in practice. Holmgren would always give the gloves the thumbs-down.

As part of a season-ending ritual, a Vikings rookie offensive lineman was designated to pick up a dinner tab for linemates, family members and friends at a downtown Minneapolis restaurant following Sunday's loss to the Rams. But when the $3,700 check, which did not include a $500 waiter tip, arrived for payment, the rookie assigned to pay had disappeared. He was tracked down a day later by a teammate and paid up.
