Rivalries to shake up rankings; William Floyd enters

Hats off to the Hawklets of Rockhurst (Kansas City, Mo.) for taking home their Class 6 state championship last weekend.

This week, though, a slew of rivalries will be renewed across the nation, with St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City) and Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) meeting to decide the Garden State's Non-Public Group IV title at Giants Stadium. Down in Oklahoma, the Union (Tulsa) Redskins and the Jenks (Okla.) Trojans square off for the Class 6A title. Union took the regular-season meeting 43-42 in September.

Last week: Senior quarterback Riley Dodge (17 of 33 for 223 yards and four touchdowns) carried the Dragons to a 37-18 win over Cedar Hill (Texas).
Next: Play one-loss Abilene (Texas) in Class 5A, Division II Region 1 quarterfinal Saturday.

Last week: Backed by four touchdowns from quarterback Brent Burnette, the Rebels blew by Red Bank (Chattanooga) 52-20.

Last week: The Tornadoes' 41-0 thrashing of Hallandale (Fla.) gives them a 90-0 winning margin in two playoff games.
