NBA Finals Report Card: Game 6
Los Angeles Lakers

C
Derek Fisher, PG
28 min., 7 points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3PT, 3-4 FT), 0 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 TO
He got Rondo'd. Veteran point guard had quiet night as Celtics counterpart stole show in this positional battle.
C
Kobe Bryant, SG
43 min., 22 points (7-22 FG, 3-9 3PT, 5-5 FT), 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 TOs
Another rough night for MVP. Started out hot (11 points in first) but couldn't sustain it. So much for those Michael Jordan comparisons.
D
Pau Gasol, C
32 min., 11 points (4-7 FG, 0-0 3PT, 3-4 FT), 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 TOs
Mild-mannered center couldn't duplicate his Game 5 heroics. Had more turnovers than field goals, and allowed KG too many deep touches.
D
Vladimir Radmanovic, SF
22 min., 6 points (2-6 FG, 2-6 3PT, 0-0 FT), 3 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 TOs
Spacy forward followed his usual script, getting in early foul trouble and grabbing seat on bench. Hit two threes in third, but it was too late.
C
Lamar Odom, PF
40 min., 14 points (2-8 FG, 0-1 3PT, 10-16 FT), 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 TOs
Kobe's wingman once again lived down to KG Lite label, putting up decent numbers but failing to impose much will. No field goals in first half.
D
The Bench
75 min., 32 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 TOs
Once again, Bench Mob was more like a gob of goo. Jordan Farmar (12 points), Luke Walton (eight points) and Sasha Vujacic (seven points) made a few shots, but got outrebounded 16-4 and outassisted 9-4 by their Celtics counterparts.
C
Phil Jackson, Head Coach
Zen Master switched up pick-and-roll D, shuffled his substitution pattern and lit into his team at half. But like most of his moves during this series, everything he tried went up in a cloud of (Red's cigar) smoke.

Boston Celtics

A-
Rajon Rondo, PG
32 min., 21 points (8-20 FG, 0-1 3PT, 5-7 FT), 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 TO
Smallest guy on the court was huge all night. Scored, dished, hit the boards and swiped team-high six of Boston's 18 steals.
A-
Ray Allen, SG
32 min., 26 points (8-12 FG, 7-9 3PT, 3-3 FT), 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 TOs
Overcame son's illness and nasty eye poke from Odom to tie Finals record for most threes in game. Like KG and Pierce, he earned his long-sought ring.
C
Kendrick Perkins, C
13 min., 2 points (1-3 FG, 0-0 3PT, 0-0 FT), 4 rebounds, 0 assists, 2 TOs
Big center provided inspiration by shaking off shoulder injury to return to starting lineup. Unfortunately, foul problems put him back on bench.
A-
Paul Pierce, SF
39 min., 17 points (4-13 FG, 2-7 3PT, 7-8 FT), 3 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 TOs
Finals MVP missed first five shots, but stayed patient and wound up joining KG in leading charge. Dished out a team-high 10 dimes.
A
Kevin Garnett, PF
36 min., 26 points (10-18 FG, 0-1 3PT, 6-7 FT), 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 0 TOs
Who says KG isn't a clutch player? Big Ticket lived up to hype in Game 6, setting aggressive tone while spearheading 48-29 edge on backboards.
A-
The Bench
88 min., 39 points, 16 rebounds, 9 assists
Once again, they obliterated their L.A. counterparts. James Posey (11 points on three-of-three shooting from downtown) and Eddie House (nine points, five assists) led the way as Boston's small lineup sparked game-changing run in second quarter.
A-
Doc Rivers, Head Coach
Grady Rivers' son did his late father proud. Worked refs. Stuck with Rondo. Used bench perfectly. And got better of Hall of Fame counterpart all series. Give that man a cigar!
