Gillispie: Harris' neck brace removed |
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie says forward Ramon Harris is making significant progress in recovering from an injury after he collided with a teammate. Harris had been wearing a neck brace, but that was removed Friday. According to the team's medical staff, he still has soreness in his neck and back. Once that soreness subsides, he'll be able to resume basketball activity. Harris collided with teammate Michael Porter during Kentucky's victory over Lamar on Dec. 3. Porter needed 10 stitches above his left eye but was able to return to the court last weekend. Kentucky hosts Indiana on Saturday at Rupp Arena. Copyright 2008 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
