JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- Mississippi State has coach Rick Stansbury back for Thursday games against Cincinnati in the SEC/Big East Invitational, but it's unclear if starting guard Barry Stewart will be available.

Stewart injured his left wrist last week against South Alabama. Though the Bulldogs' third-leading scorer is right-handed, he suffered swelling this week and says he is day to day. The junior averages 9.8 points per game.

Stansbury was released from a Tupelo hospital Wednesday morning and traveled with the team to Cincinnati after being diagnosed with a viral infection.

While the Bulldogs (7-3) play Cincinnati (7-2), Ole Miss is preparing to play No. 9 Louisville in the second game of the doubleheader.
