UK's Harris returns to practice |
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky forward Ramon Harris has returned to practice after missing more than two weeks with a sore neck and back sustained in a collision with a teammate. Harris and guard Michael Porter were near a scramble for a loose ball during the first half against Lamar on Dec. 3 when they ran into each other. Harris lay motionless for several minutes and spent a night in the hospital. He wore a neck brace for more than a week as a precaution. Harris was medically cleared to practice Thursday, though coach Billy Gillispie said he's not sure whether Harris will play Saturday against Appalachian State at Freedom Hall. The junior received a warm welcome from fans at the arena on Friday evening during the team's open practice. Harris is averaging 8.7 points and 2.9 rebounds in seven games this season.
