DETROIT -- Not long after his team's heartbreaking Elite Eight loss to Kansas on Sunday, Davidson star Stephen Curry squashed any speculation that his electrifying NCAA tournament run might prompt him to enter the NBA Draft.

"I'm definitely coming back next year," the sophomore said in his team's locker room. "I don't think I'm ready for [the NBA]."

Curry, the son of former NBA player Dell, was named Most Outstanding Player of the Midwest Regional after scoring 33 points against Wisconsin and 25 against Kansas. He became the first player from a losing team to earn that distinction since 1994.

Curry said he will likely slide over to point guard next season what with national assist leader Jason Richards graduating.

"We have a great team coming back," said Curry. "Hopefully we can get back to this point."
