MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) -- Pat McAfee is the latest two-sport athlete at West Virginia.

The school said Monday that the Mountaineers' punter and kicker has joined the men's soccer team and will participate in both squad's spring practices and fall seasons.

McAfee was a three-year first team all-WPIAL performer at Plum High in Pennsylvania and competed with several Olympic Development teams in Austria and Switzerland while in high school.

McAfee averaged nearly 43 yards on punts and made 13-of-19 field goals last season.

McAfee's decision comes on the heels of WVU backup quarterback Jarrett Brown suiting up for the Mountaineer basketball team.
