When Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow committed to Florida four years ago, fellow Gators recruit Jevan Snead withdrew his verbal commitment to Urban Meyer's program. To listen to Snead tell it, Meyer had assured Snead that he was recruiting Tebow as a linebacker. On Saturday, the athletic Snead, who had to sit out last season after transferring from Texas, spearheaded the Rebels' upset of Florida and outplayed the increasingly human-looking Tebow in The Swamp. Turns out the Gators probably could have used Tebow in the linebacker corps, as Snead threw two touchdown passes and ran for an additional score.

Think Rich Rodriguez received a text message from Terrelle Pryor on Saturday? Maybe something along the lines of, "See, you can win without me, coach. Love, your one-time No. 1 recruit." After trailing 19-0 at the half, the former West Virginia coach climbed a mountain and beat Wisconsin, 27-25. Things must be looking better from this side of the mountain. Illinois awaits the Wolverines, and the Fighting Illini will be looking for blood after falling victim to the White Out in Happy Valley.

Think Nick Saban's reconstruction project is ahead of schedule in Tuscaloosa? Then how about David Cutcliffe's hard-hat job in Durham? The lone blemish on the Blue Devils' record was a 24-20 loss to Northwestern, but with the Wildcats off to a 5-0 start, that makes Cutcilffe's job look even better. We'll really be able to see what Duke's made of in its next four games: at Georgia Tech, vs. Miami, at Vanderbilt, at Wake Forest.
