SEATTLE (AP) -- Jake Locker is watching and waiting just like everyone else to see who Washington's new football coach will be.

Locker said Tuesday he's confident that athletic director Scott Woodward will make the right decision in hiring a replacement for Tyrone Willingham. Locker says someone who isn't afraid to outwardly challenge players might be good for the Huskies.

Locker is in the beginning stages of rehabilitation for his broken right thumb, an injury that cost him most of his sophomore year. Locker had stitches taken out last week and is working on range-of-motion exercises, but isn't sure when he'll be able to start throwing again.
