Sliders

Adarius Bowman, WR, Oklahoma State: Bowman has dropped more passes than he's caught the past two days. His route-running skills also leave a lot to be desired.

Gosder Cherilus, OT, Boston College: Cherilus looked impressive in weigh-ins on Monday morning yet struggled during the initial two practices. He was beaten badly a number of times by pass rushers who exploited his inability to slide laterally.

John David Booty, QB, USC: Booty has not distinguished himself at the Senior Bowl. His arm strength and timing have come into question as his outs lack zip and arrive late.

DeJuan Tribble, CB, Boston College: Tribble has been beaten on a number of occasions and has given up more than a few deep receptions.

Notes

• The official reason for Brian Brohm's absence is a lower leg injury, which he originally suffered late in the season against Rutgers. Some scouts are willing to give him a pass, which they won't do for Matt Ryan. The thought process in Mobile is Ryan has hurt his draft stock by choosing not to participate in the Senior Bowl, and any slim chance the former Boston College quarterback had of being the first pick in the draft is just about gone.

• Defensive tackle Kentwan Balmer of North Carolina was the best defensive lineman during the North's practice on Monday, but he injured his hamstring and will not participate the remainder of the week. His replacement is Iowa State's Ahtyba Rubin, who is charging up draft boards and turned a lot of heads at last week's East West Shrine Game.
