Paul Stastny to have forearm surgery Tuesday |
DENVER (AP) -- Avalanche center Paul Stastny will undergo surgery Tuesday to repair his right forearm fractured in last week's game against Phoenix. Stastny suffered the break after blocking a shot by the Coyotes' Olli Jokinen in a 5-4 overtime win Dec. 23 and is expected to be out between six and eight weeks. Team spokesman Damen Zier said coach Tony Granato spoke about Stastny's surgery and status at Sunday's practice. His surgery was first reported by Denver media. Copyright 2008 Associated Press.
