Fox Sports Net (FSN) and ProElite, Inc., the parent company of EliteXC, announced Wednesday that FSN will telecast four one-hour special MMA cards on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. local time throughout mid-September and into early October.

The deal comes just in time to help EliteXC build up to its next CBS-EliteXC Saturday Night Fights offering on Oct. 4.

The FSN telecasts are of course slated to showcase many of the fighters associated with EliteXC, such as Frank Shamrock, Kimbo Slice, K.J. Noons, and Phil Baroni.

A little surprising, perhaps, is the decision by FSN and EliteXC to feature "vintage" bouts from current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber from when they fought in Cage Rage and King of the Cage earlier in their respective careers.

ProElite, Inc. also currently owns Cage Rage and King of the Cage, along with Icon Sport, SpiritMC, and Rumble on the Rock.

FSN commentators Jay Glazer and Frank Trigg are set to host the EliteXC specials on FSN.
