Pam Does Pepperdine
Who knew Pam Anderson was such a Pepperdine fan? :: AP
We're not sure what's stranger -- Pamela Andersonrandomly showing up at a Pepperdine basketball game or Pamela Anderson randomly showing up at a Pepperdine basketball game with Kenny G! That's what happened on Friday night, when the Waves took on Santa Clara (we opted for a pic of Willie the Wave over Kenny G ... here's why).
SIOC All-Star of the Week
We can't say enough good things about Indiana student Josh Tucker, whose pro-Bobby Knight T-shirts are all the rage in Bloomington. Tucker became an instant celebrity last Wednesday when he wore a "Bring Back Bobby" T-shirt to the Hoosiers-Badgers game in Bloomington, which Assembly Hall security asked him to remove several times. Over the weekend, Tucker started a "Bring Back Bobby" Web site where you can join the cause. Unless you're a delusional Northwestern fan and think Knight has interest in coming to Evanston.
Four-Star Dorm Room
A new housing complex -- Vista Del Sol -- opened up at Arizona State ... and all we can say is WOW! Among the amenities are a heated pool, basketball and volleyball courts, tanning booths, billiards and an 8,000-square-foot gym with yoga rooms. Do you (or someone you know) live in luxury? Send us info (or better yet, pics) of the pad and we'll run the best on Friday.
Will one of these Michigan fans line up for the Wolverines next fall? :: Albert Dickson/Icon SMI
The Rich Rodriguez era got off to an interesting start on Thursday when the coach held open tryouts to walk onto the Wolverines' football squad. R-Rod plans to make this a new tradition, so if there are any Rudy Ruettigers hanging around Michigan, your dream can come true.
